Caped Crusaders (ages 3-7)
Look up in the sky..it’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s YOU; a Caped Crusader! This creative and imaginative workshop encourages boys and girls to uncover a secret identity and become their very own superhero. Class participants learn to assume the duties of a superhero by lifting heavy objects, rescuing kitties from trees, outsmarting the villains, and especially changing into their capes as quickly as possible. Each week is a brand new adventure! Up, up and away!
Dragon Country (ages 3-7)
Enter the enchanting world of princesses, princes, dragons, and knights in this drama workshop designed for young children! Utilizing storytelling, props, and dress-up, students are led on a new fairy-tale adventure each week. Children gain enhanced verbal and motor skills, self-confidence, and an enlivened creative spirit as they embark on pretending each week’s exciting tale.
Class Clowns (ages 6 -14)
In this fun class, students learn how to make an audience laugh via improvisational comedy. Students play theatre games, rehearse skits, and practice using their imaginations. Teamwork is emphasized, as well as how to be completely spontaneous with confidence. At the end of the session, students demonstrate some of their new skills for our family and friends in a totally improvised performance sure to tickle everyone’s funny bone.
Drama Tweens (ages 7 -14)
In this high energy workshop, kids get to create their very own Broadway Revue! Students have the opportunity to learn the songs and dance steps to their favorite musical numbers from shows like High School Musical and Wicked. We create props, assemble costumes, and decorate sets. At the end of the course, the production is performed for family and friends.
Stand Up, Be Funny (ages 10-14)
Does your kid to make people laugh? This workshop will help your funny kid take some of his or her craziest stories and help turn them into the funniest monologues ever told! We will practice writing, we will discover what great timing is all about, and we will master all the golden rules of comedy. Then, at the end of the workshop, we perform our “sets” in front of our very own Not Your Mama’s Drama brick wall for family and friends.
